Steve Walters has been fascinated by Quasar 3C273 for over 25 years. In this talk, he will explain what a Quasar is, why they have jets, what powers the jet and other aspects of Quasars while he traces astronomical research developments through the years in understanding these strange systems. Steve will show a recent image he took of the 3C273 jet and explain how he went about capturing this rare photograph. Come and learn about these amazing objects, the most distant and powerful engines in the Cosmos.
