Dr. William Gutsch has written and produced numerous programs for large format theaters and written for and directed many film legends in New York, Hollywood and at Lucasfilms. He started his career as a mountain top sitting astronomer but early on got bitten by the "teaching and popularizing bug". The result has been a unexpected but rich and fulfilling life long journey that has taken him on fun adventures around the world. In this illustrated talk, we'll look behind the scenes at the challenges and rewards of "bringing the universe down to Earth" via audio-visual production and post production across a variety of media and venues from television to Hollywood sound stages, interactive large screen simulators, live theater, science centers, and modern immersive digital planetariums.
