Attention!..CHANGE OF DATE AND TIME FOR THE MILL LAKE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL'S ASTRONOMY NIGHT.
New date is Feb. 29th (was 28th), ends 8:30 (was 9:00).
Important Stuff:
Set up 6:00 pm. Students arrive 6:30. Ends 8:30pm

They have asked if we could set up several telescopes for the students and parents.
There are about 180 students plus parents and siblings.

Pine Brook School

The sixth grade science class of Pine Brook School is holding a star party on Friday, November 18. 73 students are registered. The school is at 155 Pease Rd. in Manalapan, 07726. A Star Party is planned for tonight for the Astronomy students and others from the college. Although clouds are expected, the event will go on. Location is behind the MacLaughlin ball field (which is across the road from Parking Lot 6). This will be the second half of their class for that evening. Sunset is 7:47, end of twilight 8:16. The moon will not be up. Time is 7:30 for club members with the students arriving at 8:00

There will be a public star party at Ocean Twp Intermediate School, 1200 West Park Ave. (off Rt 18 S.) in Ocean Twp. Indoor presentation by Marc Rogoff at 6pm outdoor viewing from 7:30-9:00pm. Up to several hundred people expected to attend, all township schools and scouts have been invited. Set up will be near the soccer field at the far end of the west side parking lot. ASTRA has also been contacted to help.

Mill Lake Elementary School in Monroe Township is holding their annual Astronomy Night on Novemeber 18th. They have asked if we could set up several telescopes for the students and parents. The school is located at 115 Monmouth Road, Monroe Township, NJ 08831.
We can arrive and set up in the rear of the school at 5:30. In the past there was pizza, subs and soda for the astronomers. The students will start to arrive at 6:00 and it should end about 9:00.

Swimming River Discoveries Project is hosting a Red Bank School Family Night on Friday, Nov. 12th at the Red Bank Primary School, 222 River St.They are requesting the Club have some members set up scopes for the students. Students from the primary, middle and high school with their families are expected to attend. Set up time is 6pm with observing session from 6:30 till 8:30 pm. Volunteers are needed for a return Star Party at Sandy Hook Recreation Area on Wednesday, October 27. This will be held for the students of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School as well as other students from Asbury Park. We will be meeting just after sunset (6 pm). Moonrise is 9:20pm. The Star Party will take place at the Gunnison Beach Parking lot. (same as last year) About a dozen or so other students (with teachers) from the Seashore School in Long Branch will also be joining us.

Star Party for Nut Swamp Elementary School will be Thursday, April 22nd from 7-8:30pm. Rain date will be Friday, April 23rd same time. This will be for 2nd-5th grade kids and parents only. The annual star party for the seven 4th-Grade classes at Campbell Elementary is scheduled for Thursday 18 February (fallback TBA probably early March). The event runs 7-9PM, although folks tend to begin arriving 6:45. It's in the athletic field adjacent/west of the school. Campbell Elementary is at 8 Talmadge Avenue, Metuchen NJ. If you can help out with a telescope or binoculars please let me know. Thanks very much. Dave
