The Astrophotograph of the Month for October




This photograph of an occultation of Venus was taken July 17, 1974, 0853.7 UT,
by Kay Sears, along with T. Fetterman and W.R. Lamond.
They used a 9-inch f/6 scope with a Dakin barlow,
yielding an effective f/19.2, or 173" focal length.
Film was Kodak Tri-X at 1/30 second.
Developed and printed by Kay Sears.
