Low Energy Routes to the Moon and Beyond	October 1, 2009	Monmouth Museum	Our guest speaker will be Dr. Edward Belbruno of Innovative Orbital Design, Inc., Princeton University. Dr. Belbruno will speak about low energy ways to get to the moon and planets.
Annual Business Meeting	June 4, 2009	Monmouth Museum	STA*R will hold its annual business meeting.
Mars Science Laboratory	May 7, 2009	Monmouth Museum	DJ Byrne of JPL, software engineer for the landing radar on the Mars Science Laboratory, will talk about how you program a robot to land on Mars.
Earth Day Solar Observing	April 26, 2009	Bayonet Farm in Holdmel	STA*R members will host a public solar observing session as part of the Earth Day celebrations at the Bayonet Farm park in Holmdel (on Middletown Road near the intersection with Stilwell Road). Setup time is 11am, event is Noon till 5pm. Come see sun spots and solar flares live from our closest star!
The Origin of Star Names	April 2, 2009	Monmouth Museum	STA*R's own Ahmad Jrad will talk about how the stars got their names.
Solar Telescopes	March 5, 2009	Monmouth Museum	Our guest speaker will be Alan Traino of Lunt Solar Systems. Alan will talk about the latest in H-alpha solar telescopes.

Astronomy Night	November 20, 2008	Mill Lake Elementary School in Monroe Township	Mill Lake Elementary School in Monroe Township is holding their annual Astronomy Night on Novemeber 20th. They have asked if we could set up several telescopes for the students and parents. Please post if you can help.
